Happy Wednesday Friends!

Last Sunday we wrapped up our three week kindness theme. Thank you for offering kindness to our neighbors, and thank you for encouraging one another with your stories and reflections during worship. It takes courage to be kind!

We also brought awareness to a new initiative of our conference entitled, “A Table for All.” Nancy Flint shared about the challenges in our denomination and Mountain Sky conference. In response, our conference’s vitality team has created an initiative to foster diverse and inclusive churches, especially in regions that have lost a United Methodist presence. The goal for the coaching and partnership program is to raise $1.2 million dollars, and almost $850,000 has been donated so far. Thanks to you, we will give _______________ toward this fund to help new and existing faith communities make and sustain disciples who welcome all people to the table of Jesus. If you haven’t donated yet but would like to, visit our website’s online giving page, or https://www.mtnskyumc.org/atable4all to learn more.

We also signed greeting cards of encouragement for the first group of churches involved in this initiative. Those churches are:

  • Blackfeet United Methodist Parish, Montana
  • Cedaredge UMC, Colorado
  • Center UMC, Colorado
  • Mission Valley UMC, Montana
  • Saguache UMC, Colorado
  • Westcliffe Community UMC, Colorado
