Hello church,
Our series “How Does a Weary World Rejoice?” continues to invite us to hold our weariness alongside the truth that God chose to be born into a weary world. We will celebrate that truth this Sunday evening at our Christmas Eve service at 6:30pm.
On Sunday morning, we will finish the four Sundays of Advent by reflecting on Hope. Our scriptures will be the songs of hope of Mary and Zechariah, and we’ll ask ourselves how we cultivate hope in a weary world.
If your week is a bit hectic and chaotic, or you need a prompt to pause and center yourself this week leading up to Christmas, I invite you to use the poem above as a prayerful mediation. Maybe you felt the weariness of the season, and you need to sing a song of what could be. Use this poem and invite God to speak to you in the coming days.
