Happy Wednesday!

Last Sunday we remembered that illness of mind, body, or spirit can sap us of our life passion and energy. Sometimes illness can change the course of our lives forever, asking us to adapt in ways we never imagined, or stiffening us with pride and a refusal to ask for help. Desperation can deflate us, or it can fuel us to seek life with the fullest healing and potential.

The story of the hemorrhaging woman in Mark 5 shows us how vulnerability and humility are a strength. The woman clung to hope, and it enabled her to seek and receive the healing she needed.

Our modern-day resurrection story highlighted Senator John Fetterman and his public journey and recovery from a stroke and severe depression. Here’s a link to an interview Senator Fetterman did after discharge from Walter Reed. Hear his own words about his journey of hope and recovery.
