Greetings church family,
Today is Christmas Eve, and we will gather at 5:00pm in the
sanctuary with friends, family, neighbors, and strangers to sing and share in
the ancient story of Christ’s birth, our newborn king.
Our offering will go to support CRY-J (the Center for Youth Restorative
Justice that helps young people cultivate new direction for their lives) and the
Wildcat Pantry supporting homeless students in our community. As we light
candles and sing familiar carols, we’ll remember that the good news of Christ’s
birth is louder and more powerful than any fear or uncertainty that tries to shake
our lives. I hope you can join us for worship – in person or online.
Whether you can attend or are elsewhere, here’s my gift to you: a 100
word sermon. In recent years, the trend of writing a 100-word sermon has grown
in popularity. I invite you to meditate prayerfully on these words during the final
cold, quiet day of Advent as we prepare to welcome the Christ child, Jesus.

Advent Blessings,
Pastor Jared
